
Oilfield Driver Awareness – ODA-01
This ODA course is approved by Alberta Transportation as a Professional Driving Improvement Course (PDIC).
ODA Course Topics
This course covers proper vehicle inspection, professional driving attitude, journey management, identifying road conditions and hazards, outcomes, off-highway driving techniques, National Safety Code requirements (NSC), defensive driving, regulations and policies.
Participants with an Alberta Operator’s License who achieve 80% or greater on the written examination are eligible for a reduction of up to three demerit points from their driving record from Alberta Transportation through an Alberta Registries agent.

Class 1 License
Course Objectives:
To give professional drivers and workers who drive in oilfield driving environments knowledge to improve on-road driving behaviours and better understand the factors that influence driver attitudes
Hours To Complete:
8 Hours
PPE (Personal Protective Equipment):
All PPE required.
Certification:
Successful completion of this course will grant a Certificate of Completion that is valid for three years.
